Alex John London, Ph.D., Professor of Philosophy, Director, The Center for Ethics & Policy at Carnegie Mellon University

Dr. London is an elected Fellow of Hastings Center, a highly respected, independent, nonpartisan bioethics research institute, and recipient of the Elliott Dunlap Smith Award for Distinguished Teaching & Educational Service in the Dietrich College of Humanities & Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Society of Bioethics & Humanities and a New Directions Fellowship from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

London is a recognized expert in bioethics and has delivered 15 international invited talks. He has published 17 articles, has been quoted by national and regional media, and testified before a presidential committee on bioethical issues.

This session is approved by AMA PRA Category 1 credits.
