Decoding the Challenging Behaviors of Dementia
Throughout the stages of dementia, a person can exhibit what caregivers label “challenging behaviors.” The anger, confusion, fear, paranoia, and sadness that people with the disease are experiencing can result in aggressive and sometimes violent actions. This session reviews strategies which are most effective in caring for people living with a dementia-related disease.
Presented by Lori L. Dierolf, a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners
