Volunteers Wanted for Riverside Haunting
The Heritage Days Committee (HDC) is looking for volunteers for the annual Riverside Haunting. The current iteration of the event was started in 2020 to provide families with a Halloween-themed activity when many other haunted houses were closed. Participants drive through Riverside Park (in their own vehicles) where they get to experience various “scare sites” that are organized and staffed by community groups. The event is free to the public, but the HDC collects donations to help fund additional events throughout the year, including Heritage Days in July. The haunting typical has over 300 vehicles drive through the park each year, and we are hoping to exceed that number in 2025.
If your organization or members of your staff are interested in putting together a scare site, please complete the attached registration form and return it as described by September 5th. Alternatively, if you would prefer to sponsor the event directly with a financial contribution, we would greatly appreciate that support as well.
