Top 5 Reasons
You Should be Buying Local
-
When you shop locally, significantly more of your money goest towards benefiting other local businesses, service providers, and farms.
-
Business Owners are locals and understand the importance of community. Small businesses are one of the largest supporters for community organizations, schools, sports teams, clubs, and charities.
-
With a high enough demand, business owners will have the ability to update products, make their stores more appealing, hire more employees, and lower prices on products.
-
Local businesses provide better services because they can select products that better fit the lifestyles in your community. They also employ locals, maybe someone you know, and because they are locals too, they are more willing to get to know their customers. Business and employment taxes from small businesses help nourish and rebuild your community.
-
Local businesses require comparatively little infrastructure investment, which encourages business startups. Entrepreneurs and skilled workers are also more likely to live in communities that preserve small business and the character of their town.
